In 2014 from
the 4th to the 10th of May two
representatives Odeta Šerelienė and Lina Meškelevičienė from Alytus Likiškėliai
basic school went to the fourth meeting in Italy, Palerm town. We got
acquainted with Project partners, school‘s leader and teachers at the dinner
party in the evening. On Tuesday we visited Comprehensive school „Maredolce“
where pupils and teachers presented each country separately. Later we
participated in the school‘s concert, tasted traditional food. On Wednesday we
went to the Oreto river to observe flora and fauna. Later pupils participated
in CLIL lesson where they analized the water from the river. On the 8th of May we celebrated the European
Day. The school‘s director congratulated the guests and participants. The
pupils showed the artistic and sport programme. In the afternoon we had a free
time for sightseeing. We tried to see as many interesting places as possible in
Palermo. On Friday we visited Segesta where the Greek temple was built in the 5th
century B.C. It is a very popular place for the tourists. Later we went
Saltpans in Trapani where salt is
extracted by windmills pumping the seawater into ponds. The water evaporates
leaving salt and white „carpet“. We came back full of impressions. We found new
friends, learned new things. We are looking forward for the fifth meeting in
Turkey.
