The third meeting in Poland

In 2014 from the 7th to the 12th of April a group of students with the teacher Regina Marcinkeviciene from Alytus Likiskeliai basic school went to the third meeting in Poland. We came to Poland in the afternoon and were met by students and their parents at Zabrzes 21st. gymnasium. We got acquainted with gymnasium,its leaders and all the teachers on Tuesday. Later we went to the Historic Coal Mine Guido. The participants learnd about the traditional coal miner‘s profession. In the evening had a walk in the city,tasted traditional dishes. We departured to the spa village-Goczalkovice on Wednesday. The main attributes of the spa are its natural mineral waters,therapeutic mud and its climate. Later we went to Oswiecim and visited Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration Camp. It is one of the most visited places in Poland by tourists. We had fun swimming and doing sports activities in the swimming pool Aquarius on Thursday. Later we did some project activities. Students took part in lessons and workshops about water,teachers were discussing project activities. In the evening we had a great time at school party listening to national Polish songs. We finished our visit in Cracow and went sightseeing in the city.The most excitind thing was a cruise on the Vistula River.We came back full of impressions.We found new friends,learned a lot of things.We are looking forward for the fourth visit in Italy.
