Ebru – a method of aqueous
surface design, which can produce patterns similar to smooth marble or other
stone. It helps to concentrate attention, consolate your thoughts. It is a
therapy, which helps to disclose creative activity and surprises everyone who
touches it. Producing pictures by this method makes a positive effect on
person‘s feelings. The dynamism of creativity, the changing image promotes
curiosity and wish to learn more.
On the 2nd of June we had Ebru
art specialist as a guest in our school. She taught our students and teachers
to draw on water and presented the history of this miraculous art. We learnt
that this technique came from Turkey and only natural, harmless for people and
surroundings materials are used for this. In different regions of Turkey the
soil is of different shades, which is used in production of paint. Green, blue,
yellow from plants and white from beach sand, black – wood charcoal.
We were impressed by our works.
Most of us couldn‘t believe that those wonderful paintings we created
ourselves.
Ebru art – a small miracle in our
daily routine, the joy of creation and peace of soul.
At this time the participants of
the project „EAU – Eau, Analyse et Utilisation“ are on the fifth meeting in
Turkey Niksar city. The members of the project have a special opportunity to
get acquainted with secrets of this art.
You can see students painting on
water in photos. The students of Likiškėliai basic
school are producing Ebru art in their school and in others you see their visit
in Turkey.
