In 2014 from the 1th to the 8th
of June five representatives: two
teachers Odeta Šerelienė and Meilutė Rusinienė, three pupils from Alytus
Likiškėliai basic school went to the fifth meeting in Turkey, Niksar town. We
got acquainted with Project partners, school‘s leader and teachers at the
dinner party in the evening. On Tuesday we visited Comprehensive school “Ihsan
Karatay Ortaokulu Mudurlugu“ where pupils met guests dancing traditional
dances. Later we were invited to look around the school which was decorated
with posters about each country and taste national dishes. After lunch we
participated in the CLIL lesson which was about hydrosphere and the water circle
of the earth. On Wednesday we had a
possibility to meet the mayor of Niksar and to hike to the Niksar castle. The
next day we visited the cave „Ballica“ It has two layers above the entrance and five layers below the
entrance is a seven - layered beautiful cave. There are small ponds, drippings,
dry natural pools and small polls in every layer. The amount of mud and wet
clay is high although there is no water flow at each layer floor. This fact
makes climbing and descending difficult. The respiration is interestingly easy
inside the cave. The last day we went to the hydroelectric powerplant. The
pupils were very intrested in the ways how the electricity is produced. Later
we left for watersource „SISMA“. Mineral Water is being produced and
bottled by SISMA Turkey just nearby the natural spring. The natural spring
resides 27km away from nearest residential areas within mountains which alone
guarantees the naturality and purity of the spring.
We came back full of impressions.
We found new friends, learned new things. We are looking forward for the sixth
meeting in Greece.
Odeta Šerelienė
